About Me:

I am Merian! An 18-year-old who is super passionate about writing. As a writer and observer, I tend to notice lots of things in the world that crave attention. My goal in life is to be able to take everything that the world throws my way and turn it into art. A little bit about me is that I am Bulgarian and as a child, I was constantly told that I would never be successful, that I would never be able to write or speak English like other kids. In response I worked days after days on my speaking skills and grew a love for writing. At age 14, I read a poem I had wrote in my journal to my teacher, she was appalled by the emotion I had poured into my writing. After sharing it with others, I was told I had talent in my words. From that moment on, I started writing as a way to cope and express myself. I stand here today ready to publish a book and make change in the world through my poetry!
